Today we’re diving into the Brooklyn, NY-based designer’s Winter 2023 Collection.
This 22-piece collection came with a campaign shoot that looks like the fabulous advertisements at the beginning of a 2000s magazine. Lensed by Christian Cody on the streets of NYC, the models strut with a swagger assembled by Thompson’s designs, Jess Trombatore’s art direction, styled by @be_elect and @uptowndq, hair by Susan Oludele, and makeup by Jasmine Williams.
My highlights from the collection are the Bad Gyal Set, the Crochet and Mohair Tank Dresses, and the “TP” earrings. Thompson also gave us a Crochet Panel Dress and a Crochet Lounge Pant. I can already see the Instagram fashion girlies wearing this gorgeous Maxi Leather Skirt with a split leg. This collection has three Rasta pieces: the Rasta Rouche Dress, Rasta Tank Top, and Rasta Lounge Pant.
Brazilian model Luma Vitória wears the Brown Neisha Polo and the matching wool skirt. The look is contemporary chic to a tee! May I draw your eyes to the unreleased Theophilio bag she is carrying? Theophilio soft-launched these bags months ago on Instagram, piquing our interest and readying our wallets. And then he prominently featured the bags in different styles and colorways in Theophilio’s Spring 2023 Ready-to-Wear New York Fashion Week runway show. I predict the bags will have a late spring/early summer release!
