Megan the Stallion has ushered in a new era. Many OG Megan thee Stallion fans –myself included– felt the initial shift happen when the hot girl coach previewed her newest single during her 2022 Coachella performance. The “I said wtf I said” tone and Lil’ Kim-inspired flow of “Plan B” made the snippet go viral on Twitter overnight.

When the music video for “Plan B” dropped, it became clear that Megan is evolving as a performer.

And we are watching her do it in style.

Megan’s Next Chapter

The music video was co-directed by the creative director of Mugler, Casey Cadwallader. In their recent interview with Vogue, Megan and Cadawallader gush while speaking about their friendship and seamless creative partnership. The custom Mugler looks and minimalistic set design for the “Plan B” music video were “stripped back” to accentuate Megan’s commanding presence and lyrical finesse.

Megan also discussed how her style evolution is pivotal to the next stage of her music career.

I feel like getting to play with clothes and getting to play with fashion really brings these different people to life that I have inside of me, and that I want to channel at certain times. Right now, I feel very sleek. I feel very sexy. I feel confident and I feel strong. I feel like I’m coming into a new chapter of my life as an artist. And I feel like Mugler, and the brand and the way that Casey designs the clothes, is what I see myself growing towards. This is what I see Megan evolving into right now. So yeah, I feel like my approach to style has definitely grown and changed over the course of me finding myself as an artist, and as a person.

Expect more great things to spring from the friendship between Megan thee Stallion and Casey Cadwallader.
